Dr Mary Wyatt completed her medical degree (MBBS) at the University of Wollongong, NSW in 2010. Following this she moved to Perth where she completed her GP specialist training in 2016. Mary enjoys the many aspects of General Practice including managing chronic disease and mental health. She has a special interest in child health and women’s health (across all stages).
Mary has completed the Diploma in Child Health 2014 and Vocational Graduate Diploma in Women’s Health (KEMH 2012). She is trained in Mirena and Implanon insertions and managing shared antenatal care. Mary is also involved in advocating for the health of her community with her involvement on the WA RACGP Faculty Council. She also will become an examiner for the RACGP in 2020 and is looking forward to teaching registrars formally at Grove Medical Victoria Park. Prior to training as a Doctor Mary was a high school Mathematics Teacher.
In her spare time Mary enjoys outdoor activities such as diving and snorkelling.
Dr Sean Stevens has been a GP for over 25 years, 20 of them as a practice owner. Sean’s previous practice was awarded the Australian General Practice of the Year, and Sean has been awarded the Australian GP Supervisor of the Year. Sean has supervised over 30 doctors in their training to become specialist GPs.
Sean is the immediate past Chair of the WA Faculty of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the peak body representing 4,000 GPs in WA and 40,000 nationally. Sean has previously served as Deputy-Chair of the WA Faculty for four years and Chair of the RACGP Education Committee for six years.
When not at work, Sean loves socialising, spending time with his young family, and travel.
Dr Chieh Cheng completed her medical training in WA in 2005 and finished her specialist GP training in 2012. During this period, she became a GP obstetrician in Albany and enjoyed living & working in rural regional WA for seven years before returning to Perth to continue working as a GP obstetrician. She also had a rewarding position of teaching medical students for Rural Clinical School.
Dr Chieh Cheng has a wide range of interests across general practice. She feels that being a doctor is a continuous process of learning and mastering clinical skills. The most fulfilling aspect of general practice is to have the privilege of providing continuous care to our patients over a long period of time, and to walk alongside our patients in their journey through life.
“In my spare time, I enjoy appreciating cuisines from all over the world, and taking walks in nature whilst listening to music or a thought-provoking podcast. I love travelling with my family and friends and hope to tick seeing the Aurora Borealis off my bucket list one day.”

Dr Roz Alexander grew up in country South Australia before moving to Perth and graduating from the University of WA in 2007 with MBBS (Hons). She completed her specialist GP training in 2013 and has a Diploma of Children’s Health and a Vocational Diploma of Women’s Health. Roz loves teaching and has worked as a clinical tutor for medical students at UWA for 4 years and is involved in GP registrar teaching and exams.
Roz enjoys the variety of general practice but especially enjoys women’s health, seeing children, family and the young at heart and she enjoys partnering with patients who take ownership of their health. Roz has worked at King Edwards Memorial Hospital and is a shared antenatal care practitioner.

Dr Lin Chan graduated from the University of WA in 2006 with MBBS (Hons) and completed her specialist GP training in 2013. Lin has a Diploma of Children’s Health and a Vocational Diploma of Women’s Health. She is a Youth Friendly Doctor with additional training in adolescent medicine. Lin enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a particular interest in women’s health, sexual health and paediatrics. She offers shared antenatal care for obstetric patients.
Lin is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and is an external clinical tutor to GP registrars for WA General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET). She won the 2012 WAGPET GP registrar of the Year award.

Dr Emily Berry graduated from medical school at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle in 2016 and completed general practice specialist training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Over the years Emily has worked in WA at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in a variety of medical and surgical units, King Edward Memorial Hospital in obstetrics and emergency medicine, Narrogin Health Service, Silverchain Community Specialist Care Service and most recently Homeless Healthcare.
Emily thoroughly enjoys work as a GP for the variety of medicine it has to offer and the strong therapeutic relationships with her patients it affords.

Dr Naz Khan has been working in WA hospitals since 2008 and is working towards her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GPs. She completed her internship at RPH and then took a break for her family. She then joined Sir Charles Gardiner hospital since 2014.
Dr Khan’s favourite aspect of general practice is following the growth of families, from the first positive pregnancy test to children in clinic.
She also has worked in Emergency medicine and has completed a certificate in Emergency medicine. She has experience in paediatrics and has worked in radiation oncology in SCGH to gain experience in cancer care.

Dr Penny graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2006 and worked at various hospitals in Perth before undertaking advanced training in obstetrics and gynaecology at King Edward Memorial Hospital. She completed her specialist GP training in 2012.
Dr Penny spent several years working across rural and remote WA including 3 years in Broome Hospital working in obstetrics and emergency medicine. 2018 saw her itchy feet take her even further afield to Canada where she lived and worked on beautiful Vancouver Island before heading home to Perth in 2021.
Dr Penny is interested in all aspects of general practice but has particular skills in maternity and newborn care and gynaecology. She is skilled in insertion of contraceptive implants and can also assist with options for unplanned pregnancy. She believes that mental, physical, social and environmental wellbeing go hand in hand and that there aren’t too many things that can’t be improved by a walk in nature.
“Apart from my work at Grove Medical, I also work in medical education and as a regular locum to Broome Hospital. Outside of work I love making music, being outdoors hiking or snowboarding, and attending to my expanding collection of house plants.”
Dr Jonathan Tan is a locally trained GP with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a graduate of UWA School of Medicine. Perth born and bred, he completed internship at Fremantle Hospital, going on to do his residency at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
His areas of interest include chronic disease, sports injuries, travel medicine, paediatrics and dermatology, including eczema and the review and removal of skin cancers.
Passionate about medical education, Jonathan is a supervisor with WAGPET involved in the education of trainee GPs. A clinical lecturer at UWA, he also teaches and mentors students from Curtin, Notre Dame and UWA medical schools. He is currently completing a master’s degree in tropical health and travel medicine.

Rebecca completed her medical studies at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle in 2018. She embarked on a career in medicine after a decade working as an Ambulance Paramedic for St John WA. After completing hospital terms in paediatrics, general medicine, emergency medicine and general surgery she then commenced her general practice training, which she completed earlier this year.
Her interests include paediatrics, women’s health including menopause management, mental health and preventative medicine.
When not at work Rebecca enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as reading on the couch with a cup of tea and her cat, Alfred. She practices yoga daily for the benefits to mind and body but still considers herself a beginner!

Dr Erin Horsley graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2007, then moved west and finished her Specialist GP training in 2014. She has advanced training as a GP Anaesthetist and has worked in various GP roles and locations in Perth and rural WA.
Erin enjoys the diversity of General Practice; practices evidenced based care and
loves that healthcare is always evolving and her role as a GP involves life-long learning.
Her special skills are in women’s health, newborn and postnatal family health care,
gastrointestinal problems, iron infusions, unplanned pregnancy management and
emergency presentations. She is especially passionate about providing outstanding pre-pregnancy care or early management of fertility challenges. Erin provides a comprehensive approach to people with pelvic pain syndromes and period problems.

Dr Kate Peters is a caring and thorough doctor who brings with her over 10 years of experience in General Practice to Grove Medical. She wants her patients to feel that they are heard and partnered in their health, and know that she will use her knowledge and resources to provide the best whole patient care for them.
Locally trained, graduating from UWA in 2009, Kate has worked primarily in the south eastern suburbs of Perth. In addition to her specialist GP training, Kate has completed diplomas in children’s and women’s health. She has also worked for a number of years as an educator and assessor of General Practice trainee doctors.
Kate enjoys all aspects of general practices. She has particular interests in women’s health, mental health, eating disorders and children’s health. She performs Implanon insertions, IUD insertions and iron infusions.
“I’m married with three young children and a dog. I love spending time outdoors whether at the local park, in the garden or away on a camping adventure.”
Dr Sean completed his Bachelor of medicine/Bachelor of surgery at the University of Western Australia in 2013.
He has subsequently worked in many areas of specialty medicine as well as several years operating in surgery, primarily orthopaedics. He has worked across most of WA including multiple regional centres.
Sean has a particular interest in procedures, skin checks and excisions, sports medicine, rehabilitation, lifestyle management (including sleep and exercise), mental health and substance use.

Prior to studying medicine at the University of Westen Australia, Julia had a career in private industry servicing the mining sector. She spent most of her youth involved in various competitive sporting pursuits and values the role that exercise plays in overall health outcomes.
Since graduating in 2019, Julia has worked in a number of hospitals in WA and undertaken further training in Emergency Medicine, completing her Emergency Medicine Certificate through Royal Perth Hospital. Julia was awarded the RPH Surgical Intern of the Year award in 2020 and has spent time training at Perth children’ Hospital to further her knowledge in Paediatrics.
She is passionate about being a GP due to the continuity of care and the impact positive relationships with a health practitioner can provide.
“Outside of work I am kept very busy by my three children. I enjoy running, swimming and gardening”.
Andrew completed his medical degree at Notre Dame University Fremantle in 2012. He subsequently completed his internship and a further 8 years at East Metro Health Services predominately working at the Royal Perth and Armadale hospital sites across a range of medical subspecialties. He subsequentlly moved into General practice and complete the requirements for fellowship of the college in 2024.
Andrew enjoys all aspects of general practice however has a particular interest in mental health, chronic diseases, geriatric medicine and minor skin procedures.
Having transitioned to General Practice in 2021 he greatly appreciates the increased family time he has now.

Dr Therese McLaren is a mother of a toddler who loves all aspects of general practice. After graduating from Medicine at the University of Notre Dame in 2016 she worked at several WA hospitals before completing further qualifications in advanced obstetrics, child health and sexual health. She is currently doing further training in skin cancer medicine.
Therese treats the patient as a whole person and is happy to see individuals of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about meditation, mindfulness and the mind-body connection.

I’m Alex, my pronouns are he/them, and I’m Head Nurse at Grove Medical. I completed my nursing studies in Brisbane and moved to Perth to study my postgraduate degree in
sexology.
I started working at Grove Medical as a Patient Advocate, and found a team I could thrive in. My passion lies in LGBTQIA+ healthcare and sexual health; my goal is to improve health outcomes and experiences for people in the LGBTQIA+ community, and spread knowledge and education to fellow healthcare providers on inclusive and culturally safe practice. I’m a fierce advocate for my patients and team, and believe that it is important for everyone to feel heard and seen by their healthcare team.
