In 2019 Dr Mary-Therese Wyatt and Dr Sean Stevens launched their venture to provide a different kind of healthcare. A service in Victoria Park that prioritises patients and doctors working together, with the patient’s comfort in mind. Sean and Mary worked with the Next Practice franchise team to build Next Practice Victoria Park.

In the first three years the practice grew from two doctors, one nurse and one Patient Advocate, to a team of fourteen doctors, three nurses, a pathologist, and an admin team of ten. They battled through Covid, opening the Vic Park Respiratory Clinic, vaccinating over 50,000 members of the public. They won best new business in the 2020 Vic Park Business awards and made it to the finals of the Telstra Business Awards.

When the respiratory clinic closed in early 2023, the team decided it was time for a new adventure. They left the Next Practice Franchise, and Grove Medical Victoria Park was born. They have expanded into the respiratory clinic to create three more consulting rooms, enabling them to provide additional support to the community.

The mission of the practice is still the same – wanting to be your caring, collaborative and innovative healthcare support. Our values of respect, innovation, trust, teamwork, and fun guide everything they do. Our services include men’s health, women’s health, child and adolescent health, LGBTQIA+ inclusive care, mental health, skin checks, excisions, contraceptive implants including IUDs, sexual health, chronic disease, allergy desensitisation, immunology consultations, iron infusions and minor procedures.
